My Grandmothers’ Light Shines Through Me. is a series of 12.5’ x 15.5’ photographs with embellishments of different culturally relevant materials. Each image has an audio accompaniment that is a sharing by the woman photographed . The images below are documentation from the Sharjah Biennial 14: Thinking Historically in the Present. These works highlight Haudenosaunee women. The photographs were made in Haudenosaunee territory in each woman’s community and printed and embellished while in residency in Sharjah. These works are supported by Sharjah Art Foundation.
